  1. I’m thinking of joining the club but have never played before, can I come down and try it out first? 
    Of course...please browse the website for details of how you can try out some of our sporting activities and get a feel for the Club before you join.
  2. Do I have to pay a fee for these visits?
    Yes, a small green fee of €5 per visit (up to 4 visits) to cover expenses, nothing that will hurt!
  3. Is the club open to non members to use the courts?
    Non members can only use the facilities when accompanied by a member or during a pre-booked introduction programmes as per the details on the website.  Purchase a 'Try Before You Buy' Card for €20 - this allows you up to 4 visits before considering membership..
  4. I'd like to become a member....what next?
    Great!  Please go to the Membership page on the website for all the info.  Please don't hesitate to contact the Club or drop into the Club reception or Gallery bar from 7pm to 10pm any weekday evening and to talk to a Club representative.
  5. How much is the membership?
    Download our Membership Form for all the info. on rates and options.  Please don't hesitate to contact the Club or drop in to discuss payment options, including our Phased Payment scheme.
  6. Do I have to pay all the fee upfront or do you have a phased payment scheme?
    We do have a Phased Payment scheme in operation.  Please contact us for details. 
  7. I’m a member now, can I use all the facilities?
    All social facilities, i.e. Gallery Bar, Games Room, Changing & Shower facilities, etc. are available for you to use.  Access to the sport facilities will depend on the membership level that you chose when joining. 
  8. Are there any additional costs?
    Just the lights!  Light tokens are available from the club reception (open 7pm - 8pm, Monday and Friday evenings) at a cost of €2 each.  Tokens can be used in the meter boxes for tennis courts (3 tokens per hour) and for badminton courts (3 tokens per hour).  Squash court lights are operated through regular coin boxes located outside the squash courts.
  9. Is the Club open all day?
    The Club House, Changing & Shower facilities along with all Sports facilities are available all day.  You will require your access card to gain entry to these facilities; an access card is included in your initial adult joining fee and additional access cards can be purchased at a cost of €10 per card.  The Gallery Bar and Games Room are open from 7pm to 10:30pm on week nights.
  10. What if I forget my access card?
    You can only gain access to the facilities with a valid access card during the day.  There is an intercom at the main entrance to the Club House where you can buzz for help from 7pm onwards during week nights.  Please ensure that you bring your card to gain access to the Club at all times to save frustration in the event that the intercom is not answered immediately.
  11. What happens if I loose my access card?
    Not a problem - we will replace your card, however there is a €10 charge.
  12. If I’m a family member do all of us get a card?
    One access card is included in the initial Family joining fee.  You can purchase additional access cards, please ask at the Club.
  13. As a member can I bring down friends to play against?
    Non members can only use the facilities when booked in and accompanied by a member.  Guest Green Fees are at a rate of €5 per person per visit up to 4 visits.  Accompanying members are responsible for collecting green fees for their guests.
  14. What if, as a member, I just want to bring a guest for a drink in the club?
    You can sign your visitor in as a guest and entertain them in the Gallery Bar; guests cannot purchase alcohol themselves in the bar.  The bar staff will advise of the details that need to be entered into the guest book and any conditions that need to be followed.
  15. I’m joining to meet new people...how can you help?
    In lots of ways!  We have club nights and introduction to sport programmes, please see the Home Page for details, which is for social and get to know you sport along with leagues and competitions for all levels throughout the year. There are also many social events for members through out the year.  Please keep an eye on the website for all activities.
  16. Are the Social Events open to all or just members?
    Social events are primarily for members but guests are very welcome as long as they are signed in and agree to follow Club rules and etiquette.
  17. Do you do any interclub competitions?
    Yes, lots!  The Club takes part in and hosts various Club competitions, including Open events, regional events along with 'friendly club' events.
  18. I’m a bit rusty...any chance of some coaching?
    Absolutely!  Our resident coaches run both Group and Individual coaching programmes. Please see the relevant Sports sections on the website for details and refer to the Member Area for contact details
